Rest in peace Ole Qvist
The Vancouver soccer community lost one of its notable characters on boxing day.
Ole Qvist passed away at 73. Ole lived and breathed soccer, as a lifelong player, coach and professional soccer ball stitcher. He was involved with many Killarney Youth Soccer teams over the years having coached many of our coaches and club officials in their youth.
Ole also served as president of our organization in the 1980s. He coached youth teams across Metro Vancouver, started U21 teams and just kept playing. He was a relentless jokester with a golden heart.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Scandinavian Centre (6540 Thomas Street, Burnaby)
